Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) applies to all professional services provided by Team Taxation Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) through this website or otherwise.

By engaging our services and making a payment, you agree to the terms of this Policy.


1. Nature of Our Services

We are a professional services firm providing, among others:

  • Tax, regulatory and compliance advisory
  • Entity incorporation and India-entry support
  • GST, Income Tax, TDS and ROC/Company Law compliances
  • FEMA/RBI/FDI filings and related regulatory work
  • Consultancy, opinions, reviews and documentation support

Our services are intangible and primarily comprise time, expertise and effort. Once rendered, they cannot be “returned” like physical goods.


2. Government / Regulatory Approvals & Filings

Many of our assignments involve filings or approvals with government or regulatory authorities (such as MCA, Income Tax, GST, RBI, Banks, Labour Authorities, etc.).

  • We do not control the actions, timelines, internal processes, technical issues or decisions of any government department, portal or regulatory authority.
  • Government fees, filing fees, stamp duty, penalties, challans, third-party charges (e.g. notary, translation, attestation, professional opinions from other experts, etc.) are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • Our professional fees for any service which has been filed/submitted to a government or regulatory authority are also non-refundable, even if:
    • the department rejects, keeps pending, delays or raises further queries; or
    • the outcome is different from what you expected; or
    • laws, rules, procedures or interpretations change after engagement.

We commit to using reasonable professional skill and care—but we cannot guarantee any particular outcome or approval.


3. Refunds of Professional Fees

3.1 Before We Start the Work

If you have paid us and we have not yet started working on your assignment (no review done, no file opened, no drafting or internal discussion initiated), you may request a cancellation and:

  • We may issue a refund of our professional fees after deducting any payment gateway or bank charges, if applicable.

Whether work has commenced will be determined by our internal records and discretion.

3.2 After Work Has Started, But Before Completion

Once we allocate resources and start working on your file—reviewing documents, giving preliminary views, drafting, internal discussions, preparing workings or filing data—our time and expertise have already been invested.

  • In such cases, full refunds are not available.
  • At our sole discretion, we may consider a partial refund, depending on:
    • the stage of work completed, and
    • the time and effort already spent.

The decision and quantum of any partial refund shall rest solely with us and will be final.

3.3 After Completion of Work

Once the agreed scope of work has been substantially completed (for example, opinion delivered, computation/shared workings sent, return or form prepared and/or filed, documents drafted, or advice rendered—whether or not you choose to act on it):

  • No refund of professional fees will be provided.

This applies even if you:

  • change your mind later,
  • decide not to proceed with the filing, transaction or structure, or
  • are dissatisfied with the outcome due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. department queries, portal glitches, law changes, third-party actions, etc.).

4. Change of Mind / Scope Change by Client

If you decide to alter, reduce or cancel the scope of work after engaging us:

  • We may, at our discretion, adjust fees prospectively for the remaining work not yet started, but
  • No refund will be made for the portion already completed, time already spent, or resources already allocated.

Any new or revised scope may be treated as a separate assignment with separate fees.


5. Quality Concerns & Rectification

If you believe there is an error in the work delivered by us:

  • You must notify us in writing with specific details within a reasonable time.
  • Where the concern is valid and within the agreed scope, we will rectify or clarify the work at no additional professional fee.

Our first remedy will always be correction/clarification, not refund.


6. No Refund for Free Consultations / Introductory Calls

Any free consultation, discovery call, initial review, or preliminary discussion does not entitle you to any refund or monetary claim. These are goodwill/value-add interactions.


7. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

Unjustified or fraudulent chargebacks may lead to:
